Dear Martie & Ken: Let me just tell you… we are having a love affair with this little dog Honey B! We hadn’t realized how sad we had become until she came home with us and filled our hearts with her “joie d’vivre”. After losing Mokey, our beloved 16-year-old Lhasa Apso to cancer we thought we could never love again. It took us over a year before we could even think of another. We just want to thank you again for all that you do for these orphans. Just to think that the “B” was on death row before you swooped in is heart-wrenching. The passion and kindness that you have shown is an inspiration, and we consider you two family now, and will forever be the match-makers that brought us this sweet, funny, “Frito” loving fur ball. Sparky and will grow up with a young boy who loves him and plays with him after school.  Cookie is also very well groomed.  Thank you Bronwyne for helping us make this match!

A note from Mickey's new mom:

Mickey is such a sweetheart! We adore him!! We've noticed that, not only does he stand on his hind leg and do his little dance, but he also gets on the floor on his back and wiggles his body left and right while pawing the air with his front paws -- break-dancing, I'd say. ^_^ The first night he slept in his room, we closed the door to get him used to his bed and the room. He kept scratching the door for a while at first, but stopped after a while. I guess he's now more used to his room as when we put him in his bed and close the door, he keeps quiet until the next morning when we open the door for him. He's quickly learned to pee on the pad (we switched from the newspaper as we wanted something a bit more absorbant as the amount of it was quite a lot and his feet were getting wet) and has fewer accidents than when he first came home. I can't say enough as to how adorable he is. He plays well with my girls and, many times, has slept on the girls' lap, James' lap and my lap when we were relaxing infront of the TV or working on the computer. Mickey has already brought many smiles and laughter to us and definitely is an added blessing to our family.

Minnie, now Mouse, was an anniversary present from Steve to Bronwyne.  How romantic.  Mouse has three other adorable siblings and gets to walk on Larchmont for cafe on the weekends.  Posh doggie!

Paola, now Tootsie, was an anniversary present to celebrate the strong love that has held this wonderful couple together for decades.  Thank you so much Fahey family for giving this tiny girl a second chance at love.

Ireland has learned how to sit on command and my husband and I are smitten by her and she is a true joy. She loves to play fetch with all of her toys and every day I watch her naps as she twitches and yelps while dreaming puppy dreams. I wanted to thank you for taking such great care of her and allowing us to have her in our family.

Andy is seems to be so happy, which makes us happy. My mom is shocked because her animals (even the goat) have been accepting. There has not even been one time of growling with her dogs. We expected more conflict, but not with these little guys. He just does not want to miss a beat and wants to be in the middle of everything! He has already brought us so much joy!!!

Hi Ken and Martie, What a find! Hendrix, now Howie is the greatest! He has fit right in and seems to love his new home. Our granddaughter Alyssa, name him Howie, because after you two left, he had the sadest howl, but it sounded like "howie" and Alyssa, said lets name him Howie, so it stuck. The howls didn't last long and later in the evening he was just like one the family.

To Ken-Mar:

Hi Ken and Martie, I just wanted to let you know that Maggie (Maya) is doing really well. She slept the first night next to us in bed and never moved. I then took both Maggie and Molly to pick out new collars and leashes and they picked out girlie designer neck jewelry for themselves. We are in the process of trying to teach Maggie to use the doggie door and have found that turkey is a favorite of hers and she can jump very high is you happen to be making a sandwich --- she is just too cute!We can not thank you enough for helping us extend our family and love. Hi, Marti. Thanks so much for all the pictures and info. Charla is doing great! We are calling her Winnie now (after Princess Winnifred the Woebegone from Once Upon a Mattress). She’s VERY smart.  She and Emmy started playing together today. All is well.

To Ken Mar- We are having a great time with Katie. We've discovered she has been trained to urinate on paper. We're working on pooping on paper, too. She's a smart girl--will stand on her hind feet without coaching to get a puppy treat. She insists on sleeping at the foot of our bed (where the cats usually sleep--they're a bit miffed) and pretty much sleeps through the night. She has found a couple of the pet beds that are placed around the house and has claimed a couple for herself. The cats really don't mind; they only use them in the winter when it is very chilly and then they share one bed.Thanks again for delivering this loving little girl to us. Lucy and Tom

What a special dog Pinky is.  She loves her walks and likes to explore the back yard but she also loves to sit on your lap or right beside you.  Kayleigh and Shelby are here and are taking turns sitting with her while they do their homework. 

When I took her out for a walk, she got along with all the dogs belonging to my neighbors and all the people she met.
I would have put her in the bed with me but George doesn't like dogs in bed.  I left the crate door open all afternoon after you left and she went in on her own.  When we went to bed, we closed the door and she was fine all night.  We were absolutely amazed.  Thank you for matching us with the perfect pet . . .  "
